Daybeds

Daybeds
Nowadays garden furniture is becoming increasingly more sophisticated. While many people used to be satisfied with a plastic table and chairs, an increasing number now take garden décor and furnishing far more seriously. Many people pay almost as much attention to designing and furnishing their gardens as they do their lounge or dining room. In addition to garden benches and teak tables and chairs for your garden it is also possible to get rattan and cane furniture that would look good indoors as well as on the outside. Some rattan ranges now incorporate daybeds into their conservatory and garden furniture.

Garden daybeds offer a stylish and comfortable means of relaxing in the sun. Daybeds are also ideal for furnishing your conservatory so that it can accommodate an overnight guest if needed. Comfortable, stylish daybeds add that extra something to your garden; made from quality, handcrafted rattan and European style upholstery a daybed makes a great addition to any garden. The best type of garden daybed has a lift up base so that you can store your cushions and protect them from the weather when not in use. If you like to relax together then the Apple day bed is a premium day bed for two people and it has a swivel, turntable base so you can change your view of the garden.

Daybeds
Rattan daybeds are available in cappucino or natural rattan outdoor weave with contrasting seat and cushions. Imagine yourself on a warm summer’s day with lemonade on the side table, relaxing on your garden daybed. Stylish, rattan garden furniture is reminiscent of the days of the Indian Raj when style and comfort for the rich British families were a must. Today’s garden daybeds are designed for contemporary lifestyles in an Ecolene outdoor weave. You can also find larger daybeds such as the Riviera daybed with a built in sunshade in a flat, Ecolene weave with contrasting cushions. Another premium daybed is the Colonial, this daybed is made from a combination of teak and all weather wicker for a great, summer afternoon retreat. Whatever your taste and preference you are sure to be able to find a daybed that suits your garden and your lifestyle.

Barbecue Recipes

Barbecue Recipes
When summer comes around and it is time to get out your Weber barbecue, then you may be pleased to have some barbecue recipes to hand. Most people recognise that the black and burned sausages and burgers of yesteryear are no longer adequate fare for a great family barbecue. When you choose a Weber barbecue you have more control over cooking temperatures and this makes it a lot easier to cook food out in the open. Sticky barbecue chicken wings and chicken and pepper kebabs, as outlined below, are among some of the most popular summer barbecue recipes

Sticky Chicken Wings

Barbecue Recipes
As with most barbecue recipes you will need to adjust quantities to the number of people you are cooking for and the amount that your Weber barbecue will cook at any one time. You need olive oil and chicken wings, the sticky sauce is made from a combination of ketchup, balsamic vinegar, dark brown sugar, ground garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, Dijon mustard, paprika and a little chilli powder.

Mix together all the ingredients except the oil and chicken wings and stir thoroughly, rinse and dry chicken wings and place in large, sealable plastic bag, pour marinade on top of the wings and seal bag, making sure there is no air and place in fridge for five or six hours., When ready you can remove the wings and discard the bag, brush or spray wings with olive oil and sear over a medium heat for 4-6 minutes turning once, then continue grilling until cooked through.

Chicken and Pepper Kebabs

Barbecue Recipes
You need chicken cut into bite sized pieces, breast is easiest for this, and a mix of red, green and yellow peppers cut and deseeded, some kebab skewers, lemon and soy sauce. Place chicken and peppers alternately on skewers, dip first in lemon and then in soy sauce. Put the kebabs on the barbecue and cook for fifteen minutes or until meat is cooked through, turn occasionally.

Spring in the Garden

Spring in the Garden

Spring in the Garden
Spring in the garden is one of the best times of the year as you can see the buds of new plants emerging and the grass starting to look lush and green again. It’s at this time of year that people’s thoughts turn to replacing old furniture or buying a new garden bench. Rustic benches are ideal for the more traditional garden; you can sit at one end of the lawn and enjoy the sunshine and a view of the entire garden.

Spring in the Garden
Springtime is when many people’s thoughts turn to outdoor entertaining. If you enjoy inviting family and friends to eat in the garden when the weather is good then you will need a large garden table and sufficient seating. There is some great garden furniture around nowadays and you can choose from teak garden furniture, aluminium garden furniture, rustic and rattan furnishings. If you want to sit outside even though the evenings are still a bit chilly then it is worth looking at the wide range of patio heaters available so you can stay warm while you enjoy a relaxing drink after work.

Spring in the Garden
Many people view spring in the garden as a time to start thinking about the summer barbecues to come. If you enjoy barbecues but want to ensure that your food is safe from those unexpected summer showers then you may want to consider investing in a garden gazebo. With steel frames and weatherproof awnings you should be able to find a gazebo where the cook can carry on his or her good work and where you and your guests can shelter from that unexpected burst of rain. No matter what your lifestyle, spring in the garden almost always leads people to think more about enjoying time out of doors. When you have the right garden furniture and equipment you can enjoy your garden for longer periods than in the past.
