Over the summer months you will be enjoying your outdoor space more often, maybe even having the odd gathering at your home, BBQ, beers and good company, but the first thing your guests will see is your driveway. Is it one to be proud of, or is it a bit worse-for-wear and in need of repair?

However, it is not all about the look of your driveway; it is about how well it performs. In the 2007 floods, two thirds of the homes affected were flooded not because of rivers, but by surface water runoff and overloaded drains. This has resulted in strict legislation being put in place to avoid subsidence, flash flooding and poor drainage. Anglian have taken this on board by extensive planning to ensure proper drainage and go one step further by using permeable block paving which are designed so that water can percolate between the blocks and drain away through the free draining base of course grit and Type 3 sub-base.
As you can see by the pictures of the before and after, how much of a difference it makes to the house!
